Sri Ramakrishna organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at the Autonomous Degree and PG College.
This Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 2nd October and as per the directives of UGC and NCC. Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy, retired blood bank in-charge, was present as the chief guest. On this occasion,
College Chairman Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy said that voluntary blood donation is the duty of all of us. He said that the misconceptions about blood donation should be removed. When there are accidents, pregnant women need blood during surgeries and operations. Those who collect the blood donate it through a proper channel under the government's supervision and fix the fixed prices for the blood. So the blood we give is useful in emergency situations and is useful to save lives. Students NCC Cadets NSS volunteers said that the blood given by NSS volunteers is very useful to the people and the society. Donating blood can not be artificially made outside and will keep us healthy. He called upon people like Bahadur Shastri to become great citizens. The blood donation camp was started by cutting the ribbon. Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy supervised the students who were donating blood at the blood donation camp.
