These nationwide celebrations reflect deep respect for the culture, heritage, courage, and sacrifices of tribal communities. Under the visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and the guidance of the Honorable Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Jual Oram, these programs are fostering a stronger sense of unity, empowerment, and pride across the nation.On this occasion, the Chairman, Shri Ramakrishna Reddy, addressed the gathering and highlighted the sacrifices, fighting spirit, and remarkable efforts of Birsa Munda in safeguarding the rights of tribal communities. He emphasized that tribal society is an inseparable part of India’s development and that their culture, traditions, and way of life are vital sources of strength for our society.

Motivational Webinar on “How to Crack UPSC”

Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (A), Nandyal organized a motivational webinar on “How to Crack UPSC” on 10-11-2025 through Zoom, informed College Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy. The session was delivered by Sri Akhilesh Jha, Retired IPS Officer, President’s Police Medal awardee, and author of the “Success Mantra” series for UPSC/PCS aspirants.

Addressing the students, Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized the importance of clear goal-setting, discipline, time management, and consistent hard work to succeed in national-level competitive examinations like UPSC. He stated that such webinars act as valuable guidance platforms for students.

As the chief guest, Sri Akhilesh Jha explained the UPSC examination structure, including Prelims, Mains, and Interview, marking scheme, and optional subject selection. He motivated students to uphold values of ethical governance, civic responsibility, and dedication towards nation-building.

The occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti – National Unity Day, celebrations were held at Sri Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Sri Ramakrishna Autonomous Degree College, Nandyal. The programme was presided over by Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman, Ramakrishna Educational Institutions. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by the Chairman, Principal K.B.V. Subbaiah, faculty members and guests.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy highlighted the role of Sardar Patel in integrating 562 princely states and laying a strong foundation for national unity, inspiring students with his determination and leadership. Students delivered speeches on the life and ideals of the Iron Man of India.
Alumnus and town eminent personality Sri Nimmakayala Sudhakar encouraged youth to serve the nation with commitment, while Principal Sri K.B.V. Subbaiah urged students to draw inspiration from the life of Sardar Patel. Students took the National Unity (Ekta Diwas) Pledge.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, with faculty members and students in attendance.

A Certificate Program Completion Ceremony

A Certificate Program Completion Ceremony was successfully organized on 25th October 2025 at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Nandyal, under the joint auspices of Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous) and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).
Certificates were awarded to B.Sc. and B.Com. students who completed MS Office, Hardware and Networking, and Tally with GST courses. The program was presided over by the Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy. APSSDC District Manager Mr. Srikant Reddy attended as Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of skill-based training for career development.
The Dean of Academics Mrs. A. S. Pragathi Reddy and the Principal Mr. K. B. V. Subbaiah highlighted the need for practical skills along with academics. Faculty members coordinated the event. The program concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students.

An Internship-cum-Placement Drive


An Internship-cum-Placement Drive was successfully conducted at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal in collaboration with Syncreon Consulting Ltd, Hyderabad. A total of 164 students participated in the drive, out of which 38 students were finally selected after multiple rounds.
The selected students were offered an annual package of ₹1.75 lakhs plus incentives, along with dinner and snacks facilities. The program was graced by College Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Academic Dean Mrs. A. S. Pragathi Reddy, and Principal Dr. K. B. V. Subbaiah, along with representatives from Syncreon Consulting Ltd.
The management appreciated the efforts of the Training & Placement Cell and congratulated the selected students, reaffirming the college’s commitment to students’ career development.

Rayalaseema University Inter-Collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament Held at Nandyal

Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal, successfully hosted the Rayalaseema University Inter-Collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament (Men & Women) for the academic year 2025–26 on Friday.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of the College; Mrs. Vijayakumari, Physical Director; Mr. G. Hemanth Reddy, College Director; Dr. K.V. Shiva Kishore, Secretary of the Sports Advisory Board; and several Physical Education Directors and coaches from participating colleges.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized the importance of sports alongside academics and encouraged students to compete with determination and sportsmanship. Mr. G. Hemanth Reddy highlighted the role of sports in enhancing physical and mental well-being, noting the participation of nine teams (five men’s and four women’s teams). Dr. K.V. Shiva Kishore and Mr. Nagarjuna appreciated the college management for providing excellent sports facilities and motivating students to excel beyond academics.
The program concluded with physical fitness tests for the athletes, followed by the commencement of the shuttle badminton matches.

Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyala, successfully hosted the Inter-Collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament (Men & Women), with students from nine colleges participating, including Osmania College, Government Degree College, Rayalaseema University Degree College (Kurnool), and Sri Ramakrishna Degree College.
Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions, stated that many more sports competitions, including shuttle badminton tournaments, will be organized to encourage student participation in sports. College Director Mr. G. Hemanth Reddy emphasized that participation is more important than winning or losing and motivated students to continue showcasing their talent.

CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM

A Cancer Awareness Program was conducted at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal, to educate students about cancer prevention and early detection. Medical Oncologist Dr. Kushala and Mammogram Technician Kamala from Udyananda Hospital addressed the gathering and explained the causes of cervical and breast cancer. Dr. Kushala highlighted the role of HPV in cervical cancer and emphasized the importance of vaccination and regular health checkups. She also advised women above 45 years to undergo mammogram tests for early detection of breast cancer. College Director G. Hemanth Reddy encouraged students to take responsibility for their health and spread awareness among family and society. The college management honored Dr. Kushala for her valuable contribution.

An Internship-cum-Placement Drive was successfully conducted at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, under the auspices of Consortax Services LLC, Hyderabad. A total of 124 students participated in the drive, of whom 21 students were selected after multiple rounds of selection.
The selected candidates were offered an annual package of ₹1.7 lakh along with incentives, and facilities such as dinner and snacks.
The program was attended by College Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Academic Dean Mrs. A.S. Pragathi Reddy, and Principal Dr. K.B.V. Subbaiah. Company representatives including Manager Mr. Y. Saibabu and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy encouraged students to actively participate in such drives for personal and professional growth. The placement drive was coordinated by Placement Officers Dr. U.V.S. Kumar and Mr. K.S. Kumar.
