Ramakrishna Educational Institutions Chairman Ramakrishna Reddy stated that such competitions play a key role in enhancing skills, knowledge, and social responsibility among youth, and appealed to them to stay away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and gutkha, which weaken the nation. Pre-Sankranti Celebrations Held with Grandeur at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College

The premises of Sri Ramakrishna Degree College came alive with vibrant pre-Sankranti celebrations, organized with the theme “Our Culture – Our Responsibility” to promote Indian traditions among students.

As part of the celebrations, rangoli competitions, kite-making activities, and traditional cooking contests were conducted, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and creating a festive atmosphere on campus.

Addressing the gathering, Dean of Student Affairs Mrs. A. S. Pragathi stated that the celebrations were organized to make students understand the cultural significance of Indian festivals. Secretary of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions, Mrs. V. Vijay Kumari, emphasized the importance of respecting and practicing traditions rather than treating festivals merely as holidays.

The chief guest, College Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, delivered an inspiring address, highlighting that Sankranti symbolizes the spirit of Indian culture and values. He urged students to preserve their roots and balance education with culture and tradition. He appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and extended Sankranti greetings to all.

The judges, Mr. Nagarjuna and Mr. Srinivas, appreciated the creativity and talent displayed by the students during the competitions.

Savitribai Phule Jayanti Celebrated at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College

Ramakrishna Degree College celebrated the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, wife of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and India’s first woman teacher, with great enthusiasm. The program was graced by the presence of College Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy highlighted the unforgettable services of Savitribai Phule towards women’s education and said her fight for equality, social justice, and women empowerment continues to inspire today’s youth.

Faculty members spoke about the hardships and social opposition faced by Savitribai Phule and emphasized her strong belief that education is the key to social transformation. They urged students to follow her ideals in their lives.

Students actively participated by delivering speeches on the life and contributions of Savitribai Phule, which impressed the audience. Career Guidance Awareness Seminar at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College

Nandyal: A Career Guidance awareness seminar was conducted with great enthusiasm on Friday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, for the benefit of students.

The chief guest for the program was Mr. Mohammed Khalifa, an alumnus of the college (BBA, 2016–19) and currently working as a Business Analyst at CGI, Hyderabad. The seminar was organized under the guidance of Career Guidance Coordinator M. Imtiyaz Ahmed, with the participation of College Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy and Director G. Hemanth Reddy.

Addressing the students, Mr. Khalifa expressed happiness and pride in returning to his alma mater. He shared his career journey and provided valuable guidance on goal setting and career planning after graduation. He spoke in detail about opportunities in the Marketing and HR sectors, emphasizing that marketing evolves with changing customer needs.

He also advised students to focus not only on academics but also on developing communication and interpersonal skills to succeed in their professional careers.
