Today, at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, the celebrations of “Tribal Pride Day”, organized on the occasion of Birsa Munda Jayanti, began with great enthusiasm. Just as these celebrations are being held across various states and Union Territories of India, our institution also witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and representatives of tribal communities, making the event truly meaningful. These nationwide celebrations reflect deep respect for the culture, heritage, courage, and sacrifices of tribal communities. Under the visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and the guidance of the Honorable Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Jual Oram, these programs are fostering a stronger sense of unity, empowerment, and pride across the nation. On this occasion, the Chairman, Shri Ramakrishna Reddy, addressed the gathering and highlighted the sacrifices, fighting spirit, and remarkable efforts of Birsa Munda in safeguarding the rights of tribal communities. He emphasized that tribal society is an inseparable part of India’s development and that their culture, traditions, and way of life are vital sources of strength for our society.
The Principal, while addressing the program, stated that education should not be confined to textbooks alone but should also reflect respect for culture, heritage, and traditions. He explained that the life of Birsa Munda teaches students values such as courage, justice, equality, and morality.
