An awareness programme on Sustainable Development was organized at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, as part of the Bharat Environment Programme 2026 – Earth Week celebrations.

During the programme, NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Sravani Kumari and Mr. T. Madhava Reddy administered the Sustainable Pledge to the students. They created awareness among the students on the importance of protecting the environment, reducing plastic consumption, and adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

The students enthusiastically participated in the programme and delivered short speeches emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and the need for sustainable development. They highlighted that the role of youth is crucial in preserving natural resources and building a greener and more sustainable future.

On this occasion, an environmental short film titled “One Earth” was screened for the NSS volunteers. The film helped enhance awareness about environmental issues and encouraged students to take collective responsibility for protecting the planet.

The programme concluded successfully with the singing of the National Anthem.

A large number of NSS volunteers and students participated in the programme, making it a grand success.
