Students Should Make the Best Use of Available Facilities and Strive for Excellence

Discipline is extremely important for students to achieve their higher goals, said Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions.

An orientation programme for first-year degree students was organized in a grand manner on Wednesday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree Autonomous College in Nandyal. The programme commenced with Saraswati Puja, following which Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy attended the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the students.

He said that the college had been granted Autonomous status, along with UGC recognition and NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation, and expressed his pride that the institution is among the leading colleges in the state in providing quality education and promoting skill development.

He advised students to make proper use of the state-of-the-art facilities available at the college throughout their three-year academic journey. He encouraged them to develop into individuals with strong character and personality and to shape themselves into responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to their families, society and the nation.

During the programme, students were given an overview through a PowerPoint presentation of the various facilities available at the college, including the library, spacious classrooms, digital boards, indoor stadium, rifle shooting facility, computer laboratories, NCC and NSS.

Following the presentation, Dr. Ramakrishna Reddy clarified several doubts and queries raised by the students.

Focus on Bringing Out Students’ Skills

College Principal K.B.V. Subbaiah welcomed the new students and said that the college continuously strives to identify and develop the talents and skills hidden within every student.

Director P. Pragathi said that encouraging every student to pursue their studies responsibly is one of their primary responsibilities. She advised students to maintain discipline and assured them that the college would extend all possible support and cooperation to help them succeed.

Later, the faculty members introduced themselves to the newly admitted students.

The programme was attended by faculty members including Dr. U.V.S. Kumar, Sampath Kumar, Dr. Pullaiah, Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi, Muralidhar, Andrews, Mrs. Himabindu, Maddileti, Shivaraju, Satyanarayana Reddy, Mastan and Vijay Kanth, along with a large number of students.
