As part of the Van Mahotsav Week celebrations, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sri Ramakrishna PG College organized a Green Awareness Rally on the second day of the programme to promote environmental conservation and the importance of tree plantation.

The rally was organized with the objective of creating public awareness about environmental protection, afforestation, and the need to increase green cover for a sustainable future.

The rally commenced from the college campus and proceeded up to SBI Corner. During the rally, NSS volunteers and students carried flip cards displaying environmental messages and raised slogans such as:

• “Plant Trees – Save the Future”
• “Greenery is the Foundation of a Healthy Life”
• “Every Individual Should Plant a Tree”
• “Protecting the Environment is the Responsibility of Every Citizen”

Throughout the rally, members of the public, shopkeepers, and commuters enthusiastically observed and appreciated the students’ efforts to spread awareness.

The NSS volunteers emphasized that maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, and planting and nurturing trees are essential for creating a healthier environment for future generations. They encouraged everyone to actively participate in environmental conservation initiatives by planting and protecting trees.

The programme was successfully organized under the guidance of Mrs. M. Sravani Kumari and Mr. T. Madhava Reddy, NSS Programme Officers.

NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students participated enthusiastically, making the rally a grand success.
