A special encouragement program was organized at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, to motivate the Rayalaseema University Shuttle Badminton team selected for the upcoming South Zone Inter-University Tournament.

The event was graced by Rayalaseema University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venkata Basava Rao and Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Naidu as chief guests. The prestigious tournament is scheduled to commence from January 5, 2026, at Vijayawada and Rajahmundry. On this occasion, the chief guests distributed sports kits to the players.

Addressing the students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venkata Basava Rao emphasized the importance of excelling not only in academics but also in sports, stating that sports contribute to mental well-being and physical fitness. He urged the players to participate with true sportsmanship and bring national-level recognition to Rayalaseema University and their respective colleges.

Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Naidu assured continuous support from the university and encouraged the players to achieve success through dedication and hard work.

Rayalaseema University Assistant Director of Physical Education Dr. K. V. Siva Kishore guided the players with valuable suggestions. The host institution’s Director Sri G. Hemanth Reddy and Principal Sri K. B. V. Subbaiah congratulated the players.
