An affectionate Alumni Meet of the 2008–2011 MCA batch was organized with great grandeur and emotional fervor at the premises of Sri Ramakrishna PG College (Autonomous). After a long gap of nearly 15 years, former classmates and friends who are now settled in different parts of India and abroad reunited on a common platform, filling the campus with nostalgia and cherished memories.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chairman of the college, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, who lit the ceremonial lamp and formally commenced the celebrations. Addressing the gathering, he remarked:

“The achievements of an educational institution and the reputation it enjoys in society are best reflected through its alumni who have scaled great heights in their professional lives. Today, the fact that Sri Ramakrishna College alumni are excelling globally in the IT sector is a matter of immense pride for the institution.”

He encouraged the alumni to mentor the present generation of students by sharing their expertise in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Technologies.

Reflecting emotionally on the occasion, Prof. Ramakrishna Reddy said:

“Time has changed so rapidly. The memories of those classroom days still flash before my eyes. Today, seeing all of you well-settled in the IT industry, abroad, and in prestigious positions, carrying the flag of Sri Ramakrishna College high, fills me with immense satisfaction as a teacher. I sincerely bless you all to achieve even greater heights in life and to uphold the values of our institution wherever you may be. God bless you all.”

The reunion was graced by the presence of beloved former faculty members Sri S. Venkata Rao and Sri Vasudevan as distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri S. Venkata Rao conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the Chairman, fellow faculty member Sri Vasudevan, and the alumni of the 2008–2011 MCA batch who had reunited after nearly fifteen years. He recalled that many students joined the college in 2008 with aspirations and uncertainties about their future, but through their discipline, dedication in laboratories, and perseverance in project work, they transformed themselves into successful professionals. He fondly remembered the batch for its discipline, creativity, and passion for learning.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Vasudevan said:

“This is an unforgettable day in my life. Whenever I think of the 2008–2011 MCA batch, the first words that come to my mind are ‘Energy and Talent.’ Whether it was asking insightful questions in the classroom or actively participating in technical festivals, your batch always stood out.”

He appreciated the alumni for taking time from their busy corporate schedules to revisit their alma mater and reconnect with their teachers and friends. He also urged them to extend guidance and support to the present students by sharing their industry experiences, particularly in emerging technologies such as AI.

Representing the alumni batch, Prathyusha, Suresh, and Surendra shared their professional journeys in the IT industry and reminisced about their memorable college days.

Prathyusha, speaking emotionally, expressed her gratitude to the institution and faculty members, stating that the discipline inculcated by Sri Ramakrishna College laid the foundation for their confidence and success in the corporate world.

Suresh said that meeting his old classmates, friends, and teachers after fifteen years was an indescribable experience. He nostalgically recalled the fun-filled college days, writing laboratory records, preparing for examinations, and the invaluable guidance received from his teachers. He acknowledged that the college played a significant role in shaping their careers.

Surendra became emotional while recalling classroom experiences, campus placement preparations, and the enduring friendships formed during their student life. He proudly stated that the encouragement and support provided by the faculty enabled them to attain leadership positions in global companies. He expressed gratitude to the management for organizing the reunion and bringing everyone back to their hometown and alma mater.

As part of the celebrations, the alumni felicitated Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Sri S. Venkata Rao, and Sri Vasudevan by presenting shawls and mementoes as tokens of affection and respect. The alumni also paid their respects to their teachers, revisited old classrooms, captured memorable photographs, embraced long-lost friends, and relived the cherished moments of their student days.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of college staff members and a large number of alumni belonging to the 2008–2011 MCA batch, making the reunion a memorable and heartwarming occasion for everyone present.
