The Jayanti celebrations of the spiritual guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa were observed with great devotion on Wednesday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal. The program was attended by College Director G. Hemanth Reddy, faculty members M. Imtiaz Ahmed, Shravani Kumari, Ratna Madam, and a large number of students. The event began with the dignitaries paying floral tributes to the portrait of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

G. Hemanth Reddy (College Director), speaking on the occasion, said that the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa serve as a guiding light for today’s youth. He emphasized that inner clarity is more important than external challenges. He advised students to respect the rich heritage and traditions passed down by our ancestors. Instead of comparing themselves with others, students should live according to their own individuality. He added that while dreaming is important, putting those dreams into action is even more important, and work done with sincerity and dedication brings fulfillment in life.

Ratna Reddy stated that India has the unique honor of introducing spirituality to the world. He said that true peace can be attained through self-control and by staying away from unnecessary desires. He advised students to avoid wrong paths and follow the ideals of great personalities to achieve a respectable position in society.

Sravani Kumari said that Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa spent his entire life in deep spiritual contemplation. She added that by following the path shown by him, Swami Vivekananda became globally renowned. She noted that his life and teachings remain an inspiration to everyone.

M. Inthiyaz Ahmed said that this day is one of the important occasions we should remember in life. As a teacher, he highlighted the valuable principle taught by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa: “First practice what you preach before advising others.” He added that the future of students largely depends on the conduct and character of their teachers
