Under the auspices of Vidya Bharati Andhra Pradesh, a 15-day Teachers’ Training Camp was conducted from 1st May to 16th May 2026 at Sri Ramakrishna PG & Degree Colleges, Nandyal.

The camp was organized for teachers appointed during the academic year 2025–26 as the Preliminary (Purvardha) Course, while teachers who had successfully completed the preliminary course in the previous year and were selected by their respective committees attended the Advanced (Uttarardha) Course. Training programmes were conducted for teachers belonging to the Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary levels.

The training programme covered academic subjects, the Panchapadi Learning Process and Lesson Plan Preparation, theoretical concepts, fundamental educational principles, and creative activities. Teachers received training in both educational and co-curricular domains.

Creative training sessions included drawing, handicrafts, music, kolatam (traditional stick dance), action songs, dance, skits, and one-act plays, according to the interests of the participants. A grand exhibition showcasing these activities was organized at the conclusion of the camp.

The camp commenced on the evening of 1 May 2026 with an inaugural ceremony. Dr. Ch. Murthy Umamaheswara Rao, President of Vidya Bharati Dakshina Madhya Kshetra, delivered the inaugural address. Former Member of Parliament from the Nandyal constituency, Sri P. Brahmananda Reddy, attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Kshetra Executive Member, and Sri Kanna Bhaskar, Regional Sanghatan Karyadarshi, also participated.

During the fifteen-day programme, eminent Vidya Bharati functionaries including Sri Dusi Ramakrishna Rao, All India Vice-President of Vidya Bharati; Sri Sudhakar Reddy, Kshetra Sanghatan Karyadarshi; Sri Bhairi Shetty Mallikarjuna Rao, Sri K. Jagadeesh, and Sri G.K. Vijayanand, among others, interacted with the trainees and provided academic as well as ideological guidance.

Regional Academic Coordinators, Training Coordinators, subject experts selected from various schools, and experts from the government education system imparted training in different disciplines. The daily training duration was fixed at 8 hours and 10 minutes.

Prominent educationists and distinguished personalities from Nandyal town, totaling 45 resource persons, were introduced to the trainees during the daily Vandan sessions.

At the public function held on 15 May 2026, teachers demonstrated the physical and creative skills they had acquired during the training camp. Sri V. Satyanarayana Reddy, Chairman of VSR Constructions, Kurnool, attended as the Chief Guest. Sri J. Pratap Simhasastry, Regional Secretary, delivered the keynote address, while Sri G.K. Vijayanand, Camp Director, presented the camp report.

The valedictory programme was conducted on the morning of 16 May 2026, where Sri Lingam Sudhakar Reddy, Kshetra Sanghatan Karyadarshi, inspired the teachers by emphasizing their responsibilities in schools after completing the training.

Regional Music Training Camp

A Regional Music Training Camp was conducted from 2 May to 7 May 2026 for Music Coordinators selected from various schools of the region. The programme was led by Sri P. Lakshmama Prabha, Regional Music Coordinator, who trained participants in Vidya Bharati prayers and the All India Music Curriculum. A total of 16 trainees from three committees participated.

Regional Physical Education Teachers (PET) Training Camp

A fifteen-day Regional PET Training Camp was organized from 1 May to 16 May 2026 at Nandyal for 14 Physical Education Teachers selected from different schools across the state. Training was imparted in Vidya Bharati sports activities, the All India Physical Education curriculum, and health education. Kshetra-level sports coordinators and physical education experts served as resource persons.

Principals’ Workshop

Vidya Bharati Andhra Pradesh also organized a Regional Principals’ Workshop from 17 May to 21 May 2026 at Nandyal. During the first three days, participants received intensive training in the Panchapadi Learning Process, while the final two days focused on academic supervision and school administration.

At the inaugural session, Sri Lingam Sudhakar Reddy, Dakshina Madhya Kshetra Sanghatan Karyadarshi, addressed participants on the theme “Mana Lakshyam” (Our Goal in Practice). Training on Panchapadi was conducted by Sri A. Lakshmana Rao, Kshetra Karyadarshi. Academic supervision and administrative sessions were handled by Sri J. Pratap Simhasastry, while yoga and physical activity sessions for principals were conducted by Sri K. Jagadeesh.

The five-day workshop witnessed the participation of 80 principals and vice-principals, with Sri K. Bhaskar, Regional Sanghatan Karyadarshi, also taking part in the proceedings.
