The Department of Computer Science and Applications of Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, successfully organized a National Level Information Technology Meet titled “KAMEROON-2K26” on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sri S. Praveen Kumar, III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rajampet, an alumnus of the institution. He was joined by Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions; Smt. Vijaya Kumari, Secretary; Sri G. Hemanth Reddy, Director; Smt. A.S. Pragathi Reddy, Dean of Academics; Sri K.B.V. Subbaiah, Principal; Sri Lingaiah, Advocate; Dr. U.V.S. Kumar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications; and Sri S. Venkata Rao, Convener.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized the importance of adapting to emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, and encouraged students to actively participate in technical events to enhance their knowledge and skills. Principal Sri K.B.V. Subbaiah highlighted that such events provide an excellent platform for students to develop technical competencies and showcase their innovative ideas.

Chief Guest Sri S. Praveen Kumar inspired students by sharing his journey from being a student of the college to serving as a District Judge. He urged students to continuously improve their skills, remain aware of societal developments, and strive for excellence in their chosen careers.

The programme commenced with a prayer song and welcome dance, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Competitions such as Code Quest, Technical Quiz, Paper Presentation, and Cultural Activities were formally inaugurated, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members from various colleges.

The management felicitated the Chief Guest and Advocate Sri Lingaiah with traditional shawls and mementos in recognition of their presence and contributions. The event was conducted successfully with active participation from faculty members, BCA students, and delegates from different institutions.
