In Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, organized a seminar on “Internship Awareness and Skill Development” on Wednesday with the objective of preparing students for successful careers.
Ms. Chinta Kalyani, an Economic Intern, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The event was graced by College Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Director Dr. G. Hemanth Reddy, Placement Officer M. Imtiaz Ahmed, senior faculty members, and students.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. G. Hemanth Reddy emphasized that internships provide practical exposure, bridge the gap between theory and real-world applications, and help students become skilled professionals rather than job seekers. He highlighted the importance of networking, industry exposure, and confidence-building through internship experiences.

He informed that he was awarded his Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. P. Rajender of Chaitanya University, Warangal, for his research titled “Impact of Zero Moment of Truth (ZMOT) on Brand Equity: A Study with Reference to Electronic Products in Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh.” The study examines how online information accessed by consumers before purchasing electronic products influences brand equity.
Dr. Hemanth Reddy dedicated his doctoral degree to his father, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, and emphasized that the achievement belongs to the entire Sri Ramakrishna College family. He encouraged faculty members to actively engage in research, stating that teachers should not only disseminate knowledge but also contribute to creating new knowledge through scholarly inquiry.
He expressed special gratitude to his wife, Smt. A.S. Pragathi, for her constant encouragement and support throughout his doctoral journey. He also thanked the management of Chaitanya University, his department colleagues, and his former MBA students who attended the programme to congratulate him.

A six-day Training & Placement Program organized by Magic Bus India Foundation in collaboration with the IBM Connect With Work (CWW) Program was inaugurated today at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal. The training programme will be conducted from March 9 to March 14, 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions. Addressing the participants, he emphasized that in today’s competitive world, students need to develop technological proficiency, communication skills, and life skills to secure promising career opportunities. He noted that such training initiatives significantly contribute to enhancing students’ employability and preparing them for future challenges.
The training programme is designed to provide students with comprehensive sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fundamentals, Customer Service Representative (CSR) Skills, Employability Skills, and Life Skills. The organizers also informed that participants will receive placement support and access to free job opportunities upon successful completion of the training.

As part of the celebrations of International Women’s Day, the final session of the five-day awareness seminar series for students was conducted on Friday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal. The seminars were organized with the objective of encouraging self-employment and empowering young women to become financially independent.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Neravati Swetha Gayathri (BDS, CC), Cosmetic Dental Surgeon, Swetha Super Speciality Dental Hospital, as the Chief Guest. Also present on the occasion were A.S. Pragathi, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi; Lakshmi Durga; and a large number of students.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Neravati Swetha Gayathri explained the true meaning of women empowerment, stating that women should strive to earn an income and lead dignified lives by relying on their own abilities rather than depending on others. She noted that the concept of women’s self-reliance is deeply rooted not only in modern society but also in ancient Indian epics and mythology.
She emphasized that every successful endeavor begins with a small step and that achieving success requires dedication, passion, financial planning, and the freedom to pursue one’s aspirations. She stated that earning money enables individuals to stand on their own feet and contribute meaningfully to their families.
Dr. Swetha Gayathri highlighted three important principles for aspiring entrepreneurs:
Awareness of Investment: One should understand how purchasing or selling a product can generate profits and contribute to business growth.
Business Strategy: Entrepreneurs should develop effective strategies to retain customers and encourage them to continue purchasing their products or services.
Business Expansion: It is essential to learn how to expand and sustain a business over time.
She encouraged students by saying that determination and perseverance can help individuals achieve anything in life. She stressed that people should cultivate the mindset of “If not now, then when?” and that honesty and dedication are key factors in attaining great heights.
Being a dental specialist, she also advised students to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing their teeth twice a day to ensure healthy dental habits. She interacted with the students and clarified various doubts raised by them.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of the College, stated that the primary objective of these seminars was to help students recognize and develop their self-potential and capabilities. He appreciated the efforts of A.S. Pragathi, Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi, and the women faculty members for successfully organizing the programs.

Pragathi, Dean of Student Affairs, remarked that the five-day seminar series was intended to inspire students to take successful women as role models and aspire to achieve similar heights in life. She emphasized that students should not wait for others to solve their problems but should learn to face challenges independently and work steadily towards their goals.
She observed that no one becomes proficient in any field overnight and that consistent practice and continuous learning are essential for success. She encouraged students to learn something new every day and explained that people admire others not merely for their physical appearance but for their personality, habits, values, and contributions to society.
She further advised students to maintain good relationships with others, communicate effectively, and lead happy and meaningful lives. She also expressed gratitude to Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi and the students for their cooperation throughout the five-day seminar series.
Lakshmi Durga stated that the seminars had provided valuable insights into women’s empowerment and had helped students take the first step towards identifying and achieving their life goals.

A Yoga Master Training Workshop was successfully organized at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of yoga in achieving physical fitness, mental strength, and emotional well-being. The programme received an enthusiastic response from students and faculty members.
Addressing the gathering, renowned Yoga Master Venkateshwaram emphasized that in today’s competitive and stressful world, girls should develop both physical and mental strength to confidently face challenges and achieve success in every field. He stated that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a holistic way of life that helps individuals attain discipline, self-confidence, concentration, and inner peace.
As part of the workshop, a special five-hour practical yoga session was conducted for the students. Various yoga techniques, including asanas, pranayama, meditation, breathing exercises, and relaxation methods, were demonstrated and practiced. The participants were also educated about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice.
The resource persons explained that yoga improves flexibility, strengthens the immune system, enhances concentration and memory, reduces stress and anxiety, and helps maintain emotional balance. They encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to achieve overall physical and mental wellness.
