Nandyal, August 14: As part of the 80th Independence Day Celebrations – 2026 Pre-Buzz Programme, Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, organised various activities promoting patriotism, social responsibility and environmental protection, in accordance with the directions of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
Around 100 students, including 50 NSS volunteers and 50 NCC volunteers, enthusiastically participated in the Tiranga Rally held in Nandyal on August 14. The rally proceeded from Market Yard to Gandhi Chowk, with students carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans in a disciplined manner.
NSS Programme Officers M. Sravani Kumari and T. Madhava Reddy guided the NSS volunteers, while the NCC volunteers participated under the leadership of NCC Coordinator Ms. Durga.
Following the rally, a plantation programme was organised on the college campus. NSS and NCC volunteers planted various saplings, creating awareness about environmental protection, greenery, climate change and sustainable development.
The programme conveyed the message that celebrating independence also means fulfilling our responsibility towards building a cleaner, greener, healthier and developed India.
Nandyal, August 13: Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, organised an awareness programme on World Organ Donation Day to educate students about the importance of organ donation and its role in saving lives.
College Director Dr. G. Hemant Reddy and Dr. Madhusudan Rao were the chief guests. Dr. Hemant Reddy interacted with students on the importance of organ donation and encouraged them to spread awareness in society.
Dr. Madhusudan Rao said that organ donation can give a new lease of life to others even after a person’s death. He explained that organs such as the kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs and liver can be donated and urged young people to actively promote awareness about organ donation.
Faculty members Potula Ratna Reddy, M. Intiyaz Ahmed and Madhava Reddy also participated in the programme. They highlighted the value of helping others through organ donation and encouraged students to become ambassadors of the cause.
The programme concluded with a call to create greater awareness about organ donation among the public.
Nandyal, August 10: Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, organised the ‘Plant Your Future Campaign 2.0’ with the aim of creating awareness among students on environmental protection, sustainability, cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
As part of the campaign, an innovative “Best Out of Waste” competition was conducted, in which students participated enthusiastically. They showcased their creativity by transforming discarded and unused materials into useful, attractive and innovative products.
Principal K.V.B. Subbaiah appreciated the students for demonstrating that waste materials can be converted into valuable products through creativity and innovative thinking. Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy and Director Dr. G. Hemant Reddy congratulated the students for their active participation and environmental consciousness.
Academic Dean A.S. Pragathi Reddy and faculty members also appreciated the initiative, stating that such activities encourage students to develop creative ideas for a cleaner and greener environment.
Nandyal: The online registration process for degree admissions for the academic year 2026–27 will commence from August 5, 2026. The management of Sri Ramakrishna Degree (Autonomous) College, Nandyal, advised all students who have completed Intermediate and wish to pursue degree courses to mandatorily register online through the OAMDC portal.
A meeting was held at the college in this regard, attended by Chairman Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Principal K.V.B. Subbaiah, Dean of Academics A.S. Pragathi Reddy, and Head of the Department of Computer Science Dr. U.V.S. Kumar.
The college management announced that a special help desk would be established on the campus to assist students facing difficulties with online registration. Students can visit the help desk with the required documents and complete their registration.
Students are advised to bring their SSC and Intermediate marks memos, Caste and Income Certificates, Aadhaar cards of the student and parents, and Study Certificates from Class VI to Intermediate.
The management urged students not to wait until the last date and to complete their OAMDC registration at the earliest. Students facing any technical difficulties may make use of the college help desk.
Nandyal, August 3, 2026: International Commerce Day was celebrated at Sri Ramakrishna Autonomous Degree College under the auspices of the Department of Commerce. An awareness programme was organised for degree students, with Principal K.V.B. Subbaiah presiding over the event.
Addressing the students, Principal Subbaiah highlighted the growing importance of Commerce in the modern economy and spoke about career opportunities in CA, Company Secretary and other professional courses. He noted that more than 300 students join the Commerce programme at the college every year.
Head of the Department of Commerce Dr. D. Pullaiah explained the role of Commerce in the development of the national economy and provided students with practical insights into Accounting, Taxation and Auditing.
Commerce faculty members D. Masthan, Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi, Satyanarayana Reddy, Shekhar and Balachandrudu also addressed the students and encouraged them to pursue higher studies and develop practical knowledge. Dr. Lalitha Saraswathi highlighted India’s rich heritage of economic knowledge, referring to Kautilya’s Arthashastra and its relevance to commerce and administration.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem. Faculty members and students of the Commerce Department participated in the programme and made it a success.
Nandyal, July 26: Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Sri Ramakrishna Degree (Autonomous) College, Nandyal. The programme began with a traditional welcome dance by the girl students, followed by a prayer song.
College Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Principal K.V.B. Subbaiah, NCC CTC Officers Lakshmi Durga and Shivraj, and Placement Officer M. Imthiyaz Ahmed participated in the programme.
NCC Officers Lakshmi Durga and Shivraj highlighted the courage, sacrifice and dedication of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War and urged students to uphold discipline, patriotism and a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Principal K.V.B. Subbaiah said that the true tribute to the soldiers is for every citizen to contribute to the nation’s progress through honesty, discipline, ethical values and service.
Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy paid rich tributes to the Kargil martyrs and called upon students to remain committed to the unity, integrity and development of the nation. He also highlighted the importance of preserving India’s rich cultural heritage and briefly explained the significance of the four Vedas.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of students who presented the welcome dance and cultural performances. The event came to an end with the national anthem. Faculty members, non-teaching staff and a large number of students participated in the programme and paid homage to the brave soldiers.

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, an awareness seminar was organized for degree students at Sri Ramakrishna Autonomous Degree College under the auspices of various departments of the college.
The programme was presided over by the Chairman of the College, Dr. G. Ramakrishna Reddy. The chief guests were Mr. V. Srikanth Reddy, District Skill Development Officer, and Mr. P. Somasiva Reddy, District Employment and Skill Development Officer.
