Closing Ceremony of NSS Special Camp

Bukkapuram: The 7th day valedictory (closing) ceremony of the NSS Special Camp organized by the NSS Unit of Sri Ramakrishna Degree College at Bukkapuram village was held successfully today. The program began with an introductory address, followed by NSS volunteers sharing their experiences. Students said they learned many valuable lessons through the seven-day camp and dedicated their time to service activities in the village, earning appreciation from the local residents.

NSS Programme Officer Sri T. Madhava Reddy congratulated the students for their continuous efforts and thanked the college management for their support. He also expressed special gratitude to NSS District Coordinator Sri Nagaraju for sanctioning funds for the special camp. Vijayakanth appreciated the active participation of students in village service activities.

Addressing the gathering, Dean of Student Affairs Praghathi Madam congratulated NSS Programme Officers Sri T. Madhava Reddy, Smt. M. Sravani Kumari, and Vijayakanth, and praised all NSS volunteers for their dedicated service during the seven days. The College Chairman stated that NSS camps help develop leadership qualities and unity among students, and appreciated the efforts of the three Programme Officers for the successful conduct of the camp. He also shared his own NSS experiences and assured that more such camps would be organized in the future.

On the occasion, Bukkapuram Sarpanch Smt. Varalakshmamma and Sri Ramesh Reddy were felicitated. NSS Programme Officers Smt. M. Sravani Kumari, Sri T. Madhava Reddy, and Vijayakanth were also honored. The program concluded solemnly with the National Anthem.

Nandyal: A grand Mega Placement Drive was organized under the Placement Cell at Sri Ramakrishna Degree & PG (Autonomous) College, Nandyal. Nandyal MP Smt. Bairreddy Sabari inaugurated the program as the chief guest by lighting the lamp. Addressing students, she said youth are the backbone of the nation and emphasized the need to acquire international-level technical and communication skills along with academic degrees. She appreciated the efforts of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions in providing employment opportunities to students, especially from rural backgrounds.

Presiding over the event, Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy stated that the institution’s goal is to ensure students become self-reliant immediately after graduation by integrating skill development courses into the curriculum. Sandspace Technologies Pvt. Ltd. CEO Anne Sudheer Kumar spoke on emerging trends in the software industry and the importance of AI and continuous learning. Vikas Foundation Project Director Lacharao highlighted employment opportunities being created for rural youth.

L&T Senior Instructor D. Kantha Rao and Central Good Corporation Director Viswanatha Reddy stressed the importance of discipline, dedication, and practical knowledge in industry. College Director G. Hemanth Reddy and Dean of Student Affairs A.S. Praghathi said Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) is conducted from the first year to prepare students for interviews.

Placement Officer M. Imtiyaz Ahmed informed that around 16 reputed companies participated and offer letters would be issued to selected candidates. The event witnessed participation from company representatives, department heads, faculty, and a large number of students.

NSS Special Camp

Bukkapuram: Sri Ramakrishna Degree College organized an NSS Special Camp today at Bukkapuram village, with the participation of 50 active NSS volunteers. The program was attended by Sri Ramakrishna Degree College Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs Praghathi Madam, Bukkapuram Sarpanch Varalakshmamma, NSS District Coordinator Nagaraju, Ramesh Reddy, Panchayat Secretary Nagendra, MEO Vijay Kumar, Bukkapuram School Principal Thimmakka Madam, NSS PO S. Madhav Reddy, Smt. M. Sravani Kumari, and Vijayakanth.

The program began with introductory remarks, invitation of guests onto the dais, and a prayer song, followed by speeches from the dignitaries. Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy addressed the students, explaining the importance of NSS regular and special activities, unity in diversity, and the development of teamwork among NSS volunteers. He also stated that the NSS certificate is almost equivalent to the NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

NSS District Coordinator Nagaraju spoke about the importance of NSS, followed by remarks from the Panchayat Secretary and MEO Vijay Kumar on the qualities of NSS volunteers. Students also shared their views. Later, NSS District Coordinator Nagaraju and Panchayat Secretary Nagendra were felicitated. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.

The premises of Sri Ramakrishna Degree College came alive with vibrant pre-Sankranti celebrations, organized with the theme “Our Culture – Our Responsibility” to promote Indian traditions among students.

As part of the celebrations, rangoli competitions, kite-making activities, and traditional cooking contests were conducted, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and creating a festive atmosphere on campus.

Addressing the gathering, Dean of Student Affairs Mrs. A. S. Pragathi stated that the celebrations were organized to make students understand the cultural significance of Indian festivals. Secretary of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions, Mrs. V. Vijay Kumari, emphasized the importance of respecting and practicing traditions rather than treating festivals merely as holidays.

Nandyal: A Career Guidance awareness seminar was conducted with great enthusiasm on Friday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, for the benefit of students.

The national-level student festival “Spring Fest 2K25” concluded grandly at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, SBI Colony, Nandyal, showcasing the creativity, talent, and leadership skills of students. The fest was organized with the objective of enhancing professional skills and leadership qualities among students.

The valedictory ceremony was attended by Chairman Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy, Director Sri G. Hemanth Reddy, and Principal Sri K. B. V. Subbaiah. Addressing the gathering, Prof. G. Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized that students should go beyond textbook knowledge and actively participate in such platforms to build confidence, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. He stated that Spring Fest provided an excellent opportunity for students to discover their inner potential.

Director Sri G. Hemanth Reddy encouraged students to develop industry-oriented skills and reminded them that facing challenges with determination is the true meaning of success. Principal Sri K. B. “Spring Fest–2K25”

“Spring Fest–2K25”, a national-level degree students’ meet, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College, organized by the BBA Department. The event was graced by Sri Srikant Reddy, District Skill Development Officer (AP), as the chief guest.

The program began with a prayer song, followed by a vibrant Vande Mataram welcome dance performed by students. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest emphasized that in today’s competitive world, academic degrees alone are not sufficient. He highlighted the importance of soft skills and communication skills, especially for interview success, and encouraged students to make use of various government skill development initiatives.

College Director Sri G. Hemanth Reddy stated that while academic knowledge shows the destination, events like Spring Fest help students reach it by nurturing creativity, leadership qualities, and managerial skills. He urged students to actively participate in such platforms to shape their future careers.

A special encouragement program was organized at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College (Autonomous), Nandyal, to motivate the Rayalaseema University Shuttle Badminton team selected for the upcoming South Zone Inter-University Tournament.

The event was graced by Rayalaseema University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venkata Basava Rao and Registrar Prof. Vijay Kumar Naidu as chief guests. The prestigious tournament is scheduled to commence from January 5, 2026, at Vijayawada and Rajahmundry. On this occasion, the chief guests distributed sports kits to the players.

Addressing the students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venkata Basava Rao emphasized the importance of excelling not only in academics but also in sports, stating that sports contribute to mental well-being and physical fitness.
